Double the Sonic Means Double the Adventure

Sonic Generations is the ultimate celebration of 20 years in Sonic gaming, delivering the definitive gaming experience for Sonic fans new and experienced. In Sonic Generations Sonic's birthday and universe is thrown into chaos when a mysterious new power reveals itself, creating 'time holes' which take Sonic and his friends back in time. While there, Sonic runs into some very familiar characters from his past including a younger, classic version of himself. Together these two Sonics must defeat their enemies, save their friends, and find out who is behind this diabolical deed. The game features levels inspired by all three console based eras of Sonic gameplay: classic Sega Genesis, Dreamcast and the modern game consoles of today. All of these are presented in crystal-clear HD, and are playable on 3D TVs. As you travel through Sonic's history elements such as attacks, available power-ups and other features remain consistent with franchise gameplay history as well, with the main difference being that players have the ability to choose which version of Sonic they would like to play as.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sonic is back baby., November 1, 2011
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Sonic Generations (Video Game)
This game is such an accomplishment, such an amazing pinnacle of achievement, and such a beautiful mesh of gaming new and old-fused together underneath the bright red shoes and fleet feet of the world's most famous hedgehog. This game has finally done sonic justice, and has all the intense action and fun of sonic adventure 1 and 2, with the addition of that classic platforming brilliance of the sonic 1,2,3, and knuckles era. The level design and adaptation are incredible, bosses are true to form, as well as the feel and overall atmosphere of the game. The levels are INSANELY fast paced...and feel actually well, FUN! I have been a diehard sonic fan for years, and have become discouraged with alot of Sega's decisions...however this game takes the cake; and rights all previous wrongs. All the glitches have been fixed, and the game flows so continually and fluidly-(without the stupid side characters or annoying mini missions). There are other challenges which allow you to purchase... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Two hogs are better than one, December 4, 2011
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Sonic Generations (Video Game)
Following on from last years platforming masterclass Sonic colours, Sonic Team returns to celebrate 20 years of the blue blur with Sonic Generations. Here Modern Sonic (the long quilled, homing attacking, boosting trickster from Sonic Adventure onwards) teams up with his former self Classic Sonic (the short, tubby, Spin Attacking, Spin Dashing hog of the 16-Bit era) via a time travelling plot involving an outer space beastie know as the Time Eater. As a 20 year celebration each of SG's nine stages have been selected from nine previous games in the series spanning three eras- Classic, Dreamcast & Modern. All redesigned with entirely new layouts. Acts 1 are played with C Sonic as strictly side scrolling 2D levels (albeit stunningly rendered using the hedgehog engine) and Acts 2 are played with M Sonic were you will mostly be running into the screen at ridiculous speeds. A game for every Sonic fan then, genius. The nine stages are unlocked three at a time once you have cleared all acts... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars A True Paradise for a Sonic Fan, January 1, 2012
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Sonic Generations (Video Game)
With Sonic Generations, you get a Sega creation crafted specifically as a gift to the dedicated Sonic fans. Sonic fans who have been with Sega Team from the start with the Blue Blur, are finally given the game they have been waiting for. Sonic Unleashed was decent, games like the Black Knight and Colors served as stop gaps, but the game Sonic fans have been waiting for is finally here now, and it is good in every sense of the word.

Basically, Sonic of the current generation teams up with Sonic from the past in this epic time traveling Sonic game. This concept sounds a little gimmicky and weird, but the game finds a way to make it work, and it really does make sense. As modern Sonic and classic Sonic traverse through worlds and moments they have already experienced, they restore pieces of the world that has been put into a black and white limbo by the, "Time Eater." What this game manages to do really well, is take levels from different points in time in Sonic's game career,... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars BEST DEAL, October 13, 2007

The Xbox 360 Halo Edition may be the best deal for halo fans. First you get the cool paint job of Gold / Green . You also get voice headset and battery charge and play kit so you dont have to worry about your batteries dying or buying it seperately. But the best deal may be that the falcon chip and extra heatsink is included making red rings hopefully history.

4.0 out of 5 stars No Falcon chip, October 27, 2007
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Xbox 360 Console Halo 3 Special Edition (with HDMI) (Video Game)
I ordered the Xbox360 Halo Edition because it was supposed to have the new Falcon chip. After reading the reviews from Amazon, some people received the xbox 360 with the new chip and some didn't. When I received my xbox 360 it was from Lot #733 so it was still the old chip. I believe the Lots #734 and up are the new Falcon chips. I was disappointed that I didn't get the new chip but it was still less quiet than my previous Xbox 360 that overheated. Besides that there is nothing wrong with the Xbox 360. It would have been nice to have gotten the new chip since it was supposed to prevent overheating but if this Xbox 360 runs well it doesn't matter if it has the Falcon or not and I will be happy.

Shipping was awesome!!! I ordered it Wednesday nite and I received it Friday afternoon on the Free shipping.

I ordered the XBox 360 Halo 3 Special Edition for my son, arrived quickly,
He played it a total of 5 times and the unit locked up. After a couple of grueling conversations with Microsoft it was determined that the power converter was bad. They gave me a work order number and asked that I send it to my local repair facility for repairs, but weren't sure that this was going to fix the problem. I asked if they were going to send me a pre-paid mailing lable and was informed that "NO We won't pay shipping to the repair facility, but we will repair it for free." I couldn't believe it, we paid 400.00 for this over priced gaming unit which worked for all of 5 days, only to be told that I had to pay shipping to have it repaired. You would think that a company as large as Microsoft, that makes as much money as they do would at least pay the shipping to warranty thier products. But no dice. After being thoroughly pissed off by Microsoft, I remembered reading some reviews where people... Read more
